Highgate Acupuncture Covid-19 policy

Following guidance from the British Acupuncture Council, I outline below the necessary steps I have taken to ensure that my clinic is Covid-19 secure and a safe environment for us all.

Before your appointment

I will be contacting you by phone or email the day before treatment to discuss the nature of your condition. I will ask you to complete and sign a Covid-19 patient consent form before treatment, with recognition that the clinic has taken appropriate measures to minimise the risk of infection.

During your treatment

The clinic is fully stocked with the necessary antibacterial soap, gel, antiviral/antibacterial disinfectants, and full PPE equipment. The treatment room, WC and high contact areas such as door handles and bells will be thoroughly disinfected before and after each patient, and deep cleaned at the end of each day. Unnecessary items that can’t be wiped down or disposed of will be removed from the treatment room and and it will be well-ventilated. Wipeable pillows will be used and towels will be washed at 60°c after each patient.

I will wear a surgical disposable mask for each patient, and will ask you to arrive with your own mask or I can supply you with one.

Payment for treatment

To avoid handling cash, payment can only be made by BACS or by card in the clinic.
